Little modeling project

My farm diorama is "finished" as far as major scenes go, mostly because I'm out of room. To satisfy my modeling jones, I add little details here and there as they occur to me. One thing you can always use more of is trees. smokearea.jpg Many are commercially available complete trees (or ki...

Re: Mystery solved...

I saw him the next day, but unfortunately all I had with me was the .22 pistol. I cranked off a round from about 20 yards and missed, then emptied a magazine chasing him down the fenceline and into the woods. Haven't seen him since, so maybe he got the hint. Being a nasty, suspicious, distrusting ol...

That is a bobcat. They are a wild cat, same family as a lynx, can be more than 4 feet long and weigh 40 pounds or more.

If it would stay away from my chickens I'd be happy to let it be, but chickens are such an easy meal for them that they can't resist.

Re: Mystery solved...

.22 Mag or .223 AR, assuming I have time to fetch the appropriate tool.

Shotgun for weasels and porkies on the ground, .22 or .22 Mag for porkies in trees.

:? That is a pretty big, Sylvester. :o
At a guess, I'd say it's half again as big as the female I got last year.

Layer flock has been shrinking...again...

Need to reset the date/time on the camera and see if I can get an idea when it's passing through. Looks to me like it's a little anemic, needs a lead injection.

Every once in a while, ya win one.

I have been trying to sell a 2003 BMW K1200RS for Dale the Builder for a couple of seasons now. He decided to have me take care of a couple of issues with the it, hoping to improve the chances of selling it. One was the rear brake lever. It was severely bent and appeared to be cracked. A new one is ...
