Donation failures…
About 3 weeks ago, ww donated my Mom’s “good china” to the ReStore. Yesterday, we brought another donation, and walked through the store just to browse. We saw Mom’s China for sale… Today at lunch, the Mrs looks at me and says “let’s go get Oma’s china back.” She said she would rather donate hers/ou...
Re: America
I pray for our troops everywhere, and for all innocent civilians caught in crossfire.

From my local paper…
A good tribute someone wrote for a local guy: “Reflecting on J.R. Ramsburg Jr. I met J.R. Ramsburg Jr. at Village Lanes when I was about 8 years old. My mom and dad started bowling on a team when “Village” opened. Initially, my dad bowled for Ralph Brown on the Jefferson Trading Post team, but was r...

In a crappy world filled with bad news
I used to enjoy the fun banter and stories of friends here. Why do so few post things here now? Seems like lots of people read, but almost nobody writes and shares their stories and lives.
I would love to hear about what you are doing. I am sick and tired of reading only bad news anymore.

Re: Found a bottle of champagne from our wedding
…Actually open it YA! Today! Neither of you would like it if one day you are cleaning closets, find the bottle you did not opened, and the one is not around to celebrate such a treasure with the other... Patria, your post is very sobering, and I thank you for that. I know you still grieve over your...

Re: The house I grew up in
… Every time I go back to Michigan I'm tempted to stop by but I really think I'd rather remember it as it was than see what the new owners have done with it. I will be the same way, except there are some now-elderly neighbors who I grew up around, and I am sure I will visit occasionally, if not jus...

The house I grew up in
Goes on the market on Saturday. Mom and Dad bought it in April 1962, and Mom died there on July 12, 2023. In between were thousands of family meals and holiday celebrations in there. I’m going to miss the place, but I hope the next family has a happy home there, too. https://matrix.brightmls.com/Mat...

Re: My newest lesson: Praying Mantis
I, too, am a DOS baby. But I am also a pack rat, which is why I have a multi-terabyte hard drive and don’t throw anything away. I will get around to posting them, just need to find some time to reduce their size and actually post.
Cheers!

Hey Paul, I hate to ask, but would it be easy for you to post the pictures I sent you? If not, I will get to it eventually…Dieselrider wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 2:02 pm I did not know this either and I would like to see some pics as well.
