The hill portion of the addition is about 90% done. I have one more tree kit on order, and I'm waiting on some resin tint to add water to the pond.

Still contemplating what to do with the rest of the new real estate.

Re: Little modeling project

The tree projects got me all fired up to work on the diorama after a long layoff. Part of the problem was that I was out of room and in the current configuration of the hobby space, there wasn't anywhere to expand. oldhr1.jpg Before newhr3.jpg After considering various (expensive and involved) appro...

Excellent 3D print file

https://i.imgur.com/th67d91.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wm1TAPQ.jpg Found this while checking my Thingiverse stats. May be the best file I've ever found, prints perfectly, no boogers, everything snaps together, nothing too spindly/delicate. Even appears to be 1:64 scale tho I can scale it up/down as ne...

Re: Great tunes from your youth?

Wow! Any idea why he wouldn’t have a radio? (My Dad wouldn’t have a gun in the house, based on combat experience in WW II) I’m sorry, because we really did have the best music in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Pretty much pales the further you get after that. Not entirely sure. I think he considered it unne...

Re: Great tunes from your youth?

Growing up, Dad wouldn't have a radio in the house, nor in the car. I didn't catch the music bug until I left home. As a result, most of my favorites are 70's rock-and-roll with a few late 60's pop tunes. Until recently, my hearing loss made listening to music frustrating as it was pretty flat. A co...

Re: What happined

I hope you get it sorted out, Jim! I had ONE episode of that several months ago. Went from slightly dizzy to VERY dizzy to flat on my back on the floor wondering what the hell just happened all in about 10 seconds. The daughter of the friend I was visiting at the time happened to be there and is an ...

Little modeling project

My farm diorama is "finished" as far as major scenes go, mostly because I'm out of room. To satisfy my modeling jones, I add little details here and there as they occur to me. One thing you can always use more of is trees. smokearea.jpg Many are commercially available complete trees (or ki...
