If you're diabetic those test strips cut diagonally make a usable toothpick. Finally got that piece of ham loose.

After years of periodontal issues I have pretty good gaps at the base of most of my teeth. Pretty much anything I eat gets stuck between my teeth, especially meat.

Dentist gave me "Fluor-a-dent" sticks. Like a toothpick, but with a triangular cross section. They work pretty good as well.

Not diabetic yet, but my oldest brother (85) just got diagnosed with diabetes this year so the possibility is there.

I go through a lot of the tooth plackers, , little green thingies with floss
