Repurposed billboards...

Post by Bkeepr » Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:39 am

My son found this new-to-me company and sent me the link. Looks interesting. The "tarps" seem to be the same material my RV awning is made from, so it will take the weather for years. Anybody seen this, or tried it? I can get their 10'x36' tarp shipped to my door for about $60, which isn't the cheapest tarp I can get, but if it is as heavy as it appears to be would be a very good deal.

The ones that I have used lasted pretty good. I have used them on hay stacks, stacks of lumber and equipment. My experience has been it is better if you can use them s a tent or canopy rather than just laying them on whatever you are covering up. I rolled a couple of them up and left them on a dirt floor in a barn, that was not good. I my memory is right I had one as a tent for about four years before I took it down.
the ones I left on the dirt floor in a barn were shot in a couple of years.

That's a good suggestion.
