Been Hot and terribly dry here

Post by GeneMO »

We have finally started getting a little rain. 1.2" a week ago, then another .5" and a few smaller showers. Then it turned off so hot and humid you couldn't breathe. Many of the crop have been badly damaged though. I have given several farmers permission to plant sorghum or sudan grass in their poor crops to try to get them some cattle feed. Then the check valve went out in the bottom of my well, causing it to loose pressure in the system. That was $900 to fix. Then TJ's car needed new tires, that was $1200. Glad I been getting part time work all along. Nothing is getting cheaper.

Gotta go. See you later!

I'd love to give you about half the rain we've been getting. Rained every day but 6 in June and I'd guess pretty close to the same in July. When the Sun DOES come out, it's so stinkin' humid I break a sweat looking out the window!

We have had years when it wouldn't stop raining. This aint one of em. And it is the 'Weather", not climate change.
