My youngest son is hurt

Post by GeneMO » Sat Sep 07, 2019 11:57 am

Fell off the catwalk of his semi while rolling up the tarp. Fell about 12' Broken wrist on right hand, shoulder separation on left. hole in lungs, bruised lungs, 2 broken ribs, broken pelvis.

They did surgery on his wrist yesterday. Hoping all else will heal on its own. They are going to try to walk him today, see if any of the 3 breaks in the pelvis move. If all seems OK then it will heal in time.

They are having a baby in two weeks.

Not a fun time.

But, He can walk, not paralyzed, his hard head isn't hurt, and not much internally wrong.

Very fortunate in a way.

But we will make it. Just being tested again, and we are damned tough.

Take care all,

Gene

Wishing your son the best, and a quick recovery. Sounds like it could have been far worse, and now it'll just be a good story for him to tell his grandkids in 20 years.
