I spoke too soon, I see you replied to some of Jim's posts. I thought you had gone MIA. I guess in fact it was me who was more MIA.
Glad you are alive
Gene
PS When I get a little time, I will fill you in on my attempt, at least in my mind, to take up beekeeping.

Yo, Gene, I'm still here. I just don't post much because nobody can kill a thread like I can. I've had a few projects that I was going to post about, but figured it wasn't worth the time given the lack of traffic. I've done a couple of welding projects that didn't come out too bad, but they aren't works of art, either.
take care,
tom

Any traffic is good traffic, post 'em up, Beekeepr!
Haven't fired up the welder in months. Most of my shop time lately has been fixing other people's lawn mowers. Some don't have the time, some don't have the knowledge, some don't have a clue...

So my beekeeping story. I got the bright Idea to get into the craft. I had planted a 1/2 acre pollinator patch, then I had 12 or 14 acres of native grass, with quite a few wildflowers and forbs in it. Plus the creek bottomi s there and just lots of timber and habitat in general. Well I trolled some sites on FB, even bought a book. Took me about 10 minutes of reading the table of contents, and when I read about all the mites, pesticide problems, varmints that raid the hives, and just one problem after another, I thought, I am too old to take up this chit !!
So I bailed before I started.
Call me a wimp, I dont care.
