Bought a new gun

Post by GeneMO » Wed Jun 24, 2020 8:55 pm

Still working on replacing all those stolen by the gypsies.

Anyway, I wanted something as weather proof as possible. I leave a rifle in the Side by side, and it's parked in an open front shed, so it catches some moisture. This is a synthetic stocked, Rosi, made in Brazil. .22 mag, bolt action, with a detachable magazine. Scope mounts made right on the gun. No open sights. Hope I like it.

I had a regular .22 semi auto with tubular magazine in there. It was requiring a cleaning about every two weeks as the action would gum up from dust and moisture.

Guess we will see how I like it.

Congrats! I've heard some good things about the Rossis, but not bought one yet. They made/make a knock-off of my New England firearms single shots that are supposedly competitive with them, but less expensive (and the NEFs were dirt cheap). Let us know what you think, as you get a few rounds down range with it.

Bought a new air rifle. Stoger break down. Damn thing is fast. Got it for pests. Done killed squirrel. Felt as if it did'nt know what hit it. Really wanted it for chipmunks. Damn things are hard to deal with. Last good cat passed away. Good investment as it gives me a good reason to walk around with a weapon in my backyard in my birthday suit. :D

enough about little wood nymphs waltzing through the trees!

Hey Gene, have shot that new rifle yet? Besides the sun being in your eyes, stiff and variable cross winds, and sudden changes in propellant temperature, how's it shoot? Does it function smooth? What kind of groups will it shoot?

Hey Daninbama, not really interested in how striking your figure may be, but I am interested in the air rifle you bought. Model? where? what caliber? How much? Got pictures?

See? I am full of questions.....

I am looking for an air rifle in .22 cal., just for plinking, tho'.

Thanks in advance.
