Bots vs humans

I'm just curious is there's any way for you to tell if all, or any, of the "views" shown for the various messages are Bots, or are actual humans-- registered, or guests-- that are supposedly reading posts?

I see posts show literally thousands of views, yet only a single digit number of replies.

Are most of the "views" made by bots, or perhaps something else (e.g. NSA/FBI/IRS/BATF/KGB/DNC???), or do we really have that many people who look at our posts who have absolutely nothing to say?

Guess I'm just trying to understand the board-- maybe there really are just a very small handful of humans who actually read these pages at all.

I'm guessing mostly bots with maybe a few lurkers.

Bots are looking to harvest contact information so they can get more spam hits. One reason I usually disguise my email address and NEVER give out my phone number on the 'net.

As far as Big Brother, I suppose it's possible, but if they're cruising for trigger words, I'm sure they're clever enough not to leave tracks.
