Un-freaking-believable.

Couple of years ago, I bought a semi-derelict Honda CX650 with the idea of making an uber-cool cafe' racer out of it like the ones I've seen on the innerwebz.

Well, shit happens, I decided to give up motorcycles (plus I did some shopping for the necessary parts - GASP!) and it sat in the garage mostly being in the way. So, I put it on Craigslist. Priced, as seems to be my habit, to ensure I lost my shirt on the deal.

Sat there with no interest for 3 weeks and just as the ad was about to expire, a guy from Noo Yawk (the shitty) enquired. We emailed back and forth and settled on a price (Shirt? What shirt?). He said he'd be in Cow Hampshah in a couple of weeks and would pick it up on his way back.

After believing his GPS (silly boy...) he arrived about 6:30 last night to get it. In a Chrysler Pacifica.  I saw the car pull into the Post Office parking lot and my exact words were "Dear God, PLEASE don't tell me that's the guy coming after the bike!"

God laughed and the guy pulled up by the garage.

After dropping the handlebars and sliding the forks up through the triple clamps as far as they'd go and a MASSIVELY failed attempt to load it through the back gate, we finally backed it up a ramp into the side door, horsed it around 90° to get it on the centerline, stood it up and got it strapped in place.

I'm more than a bit surprised I can walk this morning, but his money was green, the bike is gone, I have more room in my garage and I now have the funds for a different toy.

Good on you. How about you print me out of operational Mercedes-Benz black and color with a big engine. :D ;)
How's the weather out there on the other side of the world? It's been sunny and hot here for quite a while. The grass is turning brown and if I walk, barefoot on the sidewalk outside, I don't walk very far. My wheelchair wheels take all the heat.

Wonder what made him decide to even try that? But I guess it worked.
