Paul emailed me an answer to my question about new members. He asked that I post his answer, because it relates to the future of the board:

As to your question about new members, they have to be approved by Admin. Which is me. And I can't do that because I can't log in or restore my admin privileges. Sad to say, the board appears to be doomed.
