based on what you have said over the years, I don’t think so. I was blessed beyond measure growing up, as I had wonderful parents and never, ever felt poor as a kid. I am truly sorry that not everyone gets/got to experience the love and wisdom that I took for granted.

I know what you mean Bkeeper. I think growing up I thought I was mistreated, but looking back I was the luckiest kid in the county. I was the rural, small farm version of Ozzie and Harriet meets Leave it to Beaver, with some Little Rascals thrown in

My mom honestly would go a month without going to the store. Try finding that today in America. We had our own meat, milk cow, eggs, and a huge garden. Not to mention fish, wild game, mushrooms and whatever we drug in the house. Snapping turtle, you name it.
