Is there anybody out there besides AI?
I have discovered with my recent experience on the Internet that AI is downright and FULL-BLOWN STUPID. The credit union in Alaska, where my direct deposit uses a separate company to check for fraud on my credit/debit cards. During the last three days I've had charges blocked/denied by the so-called security company, which is an AI system that the security company uses. I have to call Alaska after 1 o'clock in the morning to take the block off my cards. And about makes the security company and that fucking AI system that they use downright stupid. As they say in the computer world "garbage in equals garbage out".
With Maria's cancer treatment that means I need that card to access my money which is denied frequently. Before the cancer, it wasn't quite as problematic as it is now. Like I didn't have enough shit to worry about without the goddamn Credit union screwing with my money.
It's time to go back to Navy Fedral Credit Union not because of the credit union, but because of their security company.

I really don't understand the lack of traffic Jim. Like you, I post stuff and the only things that see it are web bots.

BTW, I just renewed the security certificate using some of your last donation.

I’m still alive, and wish there was more traffic. I’m afraid us old guys are just dying off one by one, and we’re too dull to attract young blood.

I’ve been making hay; cleaning up fallen trees after a bad storm; re-pointing bricks on our 100 year old chimney on the smoke house; cutting and splitting firewood; visiting grandkids; pissing and moaning about the state of the world on Facebook. Not much, but it keeps me off the streets. Hope you both keep hanging in there.

Well, I am here too. I moved, and my computer is upstairs now. At the old house I walked right by it 50 times a day. Plus, I quit my 40 year career of crop adjusting, so not at my desk much. It makes a difference. I am trying to get back in a routine after the move. Bought a new printer, got my e-mail system fixed( I hadn't had e mail for 6 month) Hopefully I will be on here more.

Checking in. Getting ready to have two large skin cancers removed by Mohs surgery the new few weeks. One tomorrow, and one next week. Wish they could do them the same day, but they can't. Kids were over yesterday, we had a big labor day BBQ, the 8 year old had two friends over to play in the pool, so that was wild.
