Glad I have the little 19 year old weather gal on the local "news" to tell me to drink water, stay in the A/C, and not get too hot. Otherwise I would not have had sense enough to do this.
I also have live thorough some REAL hot times. They try to make the low information folks think the world is coming to an end, and its all climate change. But it is just weather. Nothing new.
Oh it's been very warm here too but thank goodness this week we had a break with the pass of a tropical wave with heavy rains and cool breeze. And when it gets breezier, we name them. lol
Making what is probably my last hay of the year, and it sure feels hot to me. Going to try to get it in the barn before one of Patria’s “named breezes” dumps a bunch of water on us tomorrow afternoon.
Last week my granddaughter flew to Charlotte, NC to visit her boyfriend and on Monday the airline canceled her flight back to the island. She will update later.. yeah, I don't let her forget she has a grandma. lol
Been dry as a popcorn fart around here from the end of May until about a week ago. Then we started getting afternoon thunderstorms with some bursts of rain. Corn that was badly stunted looks like it is revived somewhat, but I don't know if it will be enough, or soon enough.
Sure has made the grass grow though.
We are supposed to get the remnants of Debby coming through tomorrow, but all that is left is some rain.
Bkeepr, my granddaughter made it back home last night. Thanks for asking.
And again it's getting breezier for the eastern Caribbean with lots of rain, at least that's the prediction right now. I have been busy all day getting the house ready, doing laundry, and anything that needs done with electricity and/or water. That's the drill lol.

I see they’ve already cancelled school there in preparation for your little breeze named Ernesto! Stay safe, we hope it turns out to be much adieu about nothing!
You are right Bkeepr, and schools were supposed to start today.
Yesterday I was hoping the storm would gain latitude enough to take it farther from our zone and that did not happen. Then I wished it would keep its fast pace movement as that might keep it from getting stronger [or so I've heard so many times along the years] but that did not happen either. Lets just wait and see how Ernesto turns out to get.
