Do any of you guys got the new login.gov as a sign in procedure to the VA? I've been trying for months to do that but have been unable to. I've talked to at least a half a dozen VA people on the telephone and none of them have been able to get me signed into login.gov. So at the end of the month the old way of signing in which I use for years is gonna go away and I have no way of contacting the VA other than snail mail. I get so pissed off at this computer and the VA that I would like to stick my fist through the screen but I know that will only cost me another $1300. A lot of people I have talked to on the phone I've been unable to help me get connected so I guess in a couple of weeks I'll be kissing my connection to the VA goodbye.
Damn this electronic shit it pisses me off to no end. There was a day when it was very good but it's got some damn complicated right now I don't know which one of these keys on the keyboard I'm supposed to push. I have hammer fisted the last two keyboards to the point to where they quit and I had to buy a new ones. I've thrown my mouse against the cement wall several times, and it quit working. So I had to buy a new one but a mouse, and key doesn't cost as much as this computer does. If I can't control myself and end up punching his computer I'll be off-line for several days. I'm hoping that somebody on this chat-board knows more than those asshole at Apple computer and can get me hooked up with login.gov.
PS; just had a brain fart maybe the government doesn't wanna talk to me anymore and has just figured out a way to get rid of me.
Stress me out to the point of a heart attack and they can blame it on my father.
You guys stay safe and as happy as this life will allow.
In our 2023 visit to Seattle after my hearing aid were service. On our trip back to the Philippines they quit working. I didn't have the patience to screw with him so I just stash them way and waited till our 2024 visit to Seattle. Two weeks after we return they quit again. This time I contacted the VA in Seattle and they said mail them to the people in Manila. I contacted Manila and they said send them to the Manila hearing aid center and I did that two months ago. The Manila Hearing Aid Center said that both of them were corroded on the inside but they couldn't fix them because they were issued in Seattle that I needed to send them to Seattle so it took another two weeks for them to mail them back to me COD. Well this morning I dropped my brand new wheelchair, VA issued, off at the repair shop for some minor repairs said I could pick it up Wednesday afternoon at my expense of course. 18:30 this evening I received my hearing aids back not repaired and I need to send them to Seattle audiology department. They will send them to the manufacture for repairs once repair they will go back to the Seattle VA. The Seattle VA cannot ship them out of the country which means they will be stuck in Seattle for another month or two before I'm able to get my hands on them.

Yep, I just went through that a couple of months ago. It is not the VA, it is GSA that runs the new login system, which works for many government agencies, including Social Security and Medicare.
I thought it was easier to go to GSA first to create the logon.com account. Once you have that, then you can get to VA. Use this link to create a GSA logon account …GSA has its own help desk if you have problems, separate from VA.
Guys, I understand: had the same problem the first 2 or 3 times I tried it. Sort of like working on old clocks, when you get really pissed, it’s time to set it aside and try again later before you break something but good. The day it finally worked for me, it just worked.
One complication to be aware of: there appears to be TWO different security levels for the VA. The first one—just plain/normal login.com—lets you do everything on the VA website EXCEPT for accessing your medical records or order medication refills. But you have to get that first level first. The second level lets you get to your medical records and such. To get there you have to scan in some government ID and answer some other questions. There’s a mail-in alternative if you can’t scan. It’s in the instructions after you get the first level access. Just be patient.
Just a follow up to my post above, I got some VA info about this in an email from Maryland’s vets department…here’s a link to a video about the new sign in options:

Buddy of mine was just on Facebook complaining about the sign in system. Sounds like everyone is having some issues.

We are. But the concept behind the change is sound, and once it happens it will be better. Up until now, every Federal Agency had a different sign in system. So for example, I had to learn a new system for each of: Army, DOD retired Finance, DOD health care, VA health care (actually, the VA has 2 separate systems just for healthcare!), Social Security, and Medicare. But once the conversion is complete, I can get to each of them through the single Federal system, which acts like a guarded front door for all of them. There are downsides, of course, and transitioning is one of them.
In the past all I've needed was my username and my password. Now they want me to get a new username and a knew password and then go through an authentication process. I can get through the first two parts but when it comes to the authentication all I get is Safari I cannot find the page.
Like this; sorry as a government webpage it won't let me copy and paste it. One of the guys I talked to on the phone said that I needed to copy and paste it send it to him in an email so they would know what was going on.
Fat chance!
In a few more hours, I will no longer be able to use my healthy vet. That being said I will no longer have mandatory health insurance.
Fat chance! Times two as far as I'm concerned just another way the United States government could screw veteran and I don't foresee it getting any better.
I guess I earned what I'm getting from the VA with 10 years of service and four honorable discharge. Don't thank me for my service because as far as I'm concerned it was a very big waste of a good part of my life.
