Not sure if anyone is tracking the news in Puerto Rico, but their fresh water supply system appears to have largely failed. Many folks on the island are now under a 48 hour off, 24 hour on water system…but news reports I have seen show that many are not even getting that. It’s hard to even imagine living under those conditions for very long.
I have not heard back from Patria about it yet, but imagine she has a lot going on. Hopefully she is doing OK.

Re: Puerto Rico
Hope she's okay.
I can see that being a HUGE issue in cities, but are private wells not a think in PR?

Re: Puerto Rico
I didn’t know so I did a little research. 96-98% of the water used in PR is surface water, and most of the water system is based on that. Private wells are very rare, roughly one quarter of one percent of all water. Not immediately clear why, but it appears a lot of the deep water is contaminated, and surface water is—in normal times— plentiful. But long term drought conditions are a problem.
