Well, hell

Post by Jim @ Jawa »

If shit happens, it seems to come in truck loads. Last night I discovered a very large lump in Maria's right tit. That scared me to the point of tears. I can't imagine living without her. The doctor visit this afternoon came with a stern warning to see a cancer specialist as soon as possible. That means that her new hybrid car will probably go away for hospital bill. We've been married for the last 38 years. She seems to be taking that news a lot easier than I. I have always thought that I would go before her, but with this development, it is now a tossup. It looks like we will be flying to Cebu before anymore doctor visits. My health hasn't got any better since the last time I was on this website. I now have an appointment with a surgeon to repair a naval hernia that I've had for years. That is going to take another large bite out of our finances. I've been feeling better now that I convinced the doctor to reduce the huge amount of oral prescription medication that I have been taking.
I know one of you have experienced the loss of a spouse to breast cancer. At this time, we did not know if it is a benign tumor or cancer. We will not know that until our visit to a doctor in Cebu.
You guys stay safe and as happy as this life will allow.

Very sorry to hear that news Jim. There is a chance that the lump isn't cancer, but by all means get it checked out as soon as possible. We've both had our bouts with cancer here and early action can mean everything.

I'll offer my best thoughts and prayers that everything turns out for the best possible outcome for Maria.

My youngest daughter went through 3 surgeries for breast cancer before they got it all, plus chemo for almost a year.

She's been cancer-free for 2 years now, so it IS curable.

I hope Maria's is benign, holding good thoughts for both of ya!

Tammy beat 3 cancers at the same time. Not to make light of this, but modern cancer treatments are way, way advanced. I think it will work out.

Prayers headed your way!

I've been everywhere and back and I think you are both going to be just fine.
